Service/Maintenance Technician – HVAC

Position Summary: To provide Service/Maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards providing the customer with a high-quality experience.

Accu-Rite hires detail-oriented HVAC technicians to maintain and repair our customers’ HVAC systems. The HVAC service/maintenance technician will assist with repairing and calibrating systems, and replacing various components such as transformers, capacitors and compressors.

Work start and end time: 7am - 4pm Monday through Friday. (Weekends, Overtime & Evenings as needed)

Employment Type: Full Time

  • Traveling to job sites and working closely with dispatch team to keep customers informed throughout the process
  • This position will service and sell residential and commercial heating and cooling products as well as indoor air quality products and maintenance/service agreements
  • You will diagnose problems, present estimated costs to customers, and offer other solutions. To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and representing Accu-Rite in the most positive and professional way will be your top priority. Service Technicians will be patient, and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
  • Inspect and diagnose HVAC systems for performance and safety
  • Perform installation of HVAC related parts and equipment following manufacturer’s specifications
  • Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services
  • Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements
  • Create and maintain cordial and collaborative working relationships with customers, co-workers and suppliers
  • Ensure all checklists, job details, invoices and other required paperwork needed for each job is accurately filled out and where required entered into our Service Titan system properly
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is completed correctly the first time
  • Strong teamwork, verbal, and written skills, and possess the ability to work well with others
  • Build accurate repair quotes
  • Educate customers on HVAC parts and products when necessary
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Always exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to do it right the first time
  • Have good communication skills
  • Are willing to improve and learn the latest technology
  • EPA 608 Certified
  • Nate Certified, preferred
  • Hard-working and motivated

Qualifications needed for this position:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • EPA and NATE certification or acquire NATE certification within 6 months of employment
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagram and blueprints
  • Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques
  • Experienced making repair and replacement decisions
  • Advanced customer service skills - must be personable & possess good customer relation skills
  • Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices
  • Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
  • Must be willing to help with installs if needed
  • Knowledgeable of Service Titan and disciplined in its use

Experienced HVAC Dispatcher

Experienced HVAC Dispatcher

Position: The HVAC Dispatcher is a key member of the team. This role is responsible for interacting with customers and employees, handling complex logistical challenges to schedule, dispatch and manage a team of technicians. Through the use of a variety of software tools and technology, to help streamline tasks and enhance productivity, the dispatcher will be involved in direct customer relationship management (CRM), inventory management, phone call answering and identifying key aspects of job requirements from customers to match with technician capabilities. By providing excellent customer service, and scheduling and dispatching service technicians, dispatchers ensure technicians are effectively allocated to service calls. The role requires a proactive, highly organized person with strong follow up and communication skills, positive attitude, self-motivated and solution oriented. Active in all facets of dispatch and leading the preventative maintenance and service call scheduling processes. Focus is on improving the customer experience, relying on your in-depth understanding of client needs, service timelines and HVAC data analytics software. Must have 2-3 years’ experience dispatching field personnel within a service-related industry.

Requirements and Capabilities:

  • Experience with: EPA, NATE, CRM and GPS systems, parts and inventory management and warranty is a plus.
  • Skill set and responsibilities include thorough preparation, clear and effective communication, efficient organization, and track record of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to utilize digital communication tools and data analytics software to optimize operations and make data-driven business decisions.
  • HVAC office experience with scheduling and dispatching working closely with field technicians to prioritize and manage changes to the schedule and customer needs in real time. Project Management experience is a plus.
  • Trained in using Service Titan office management software and Microsoft office. Other trades using same software is acceptable.
  • Highly organized and capable in maintaining accurate customer records.

Customer Service Representative – Scheduling/Dispatch and customer data maintenance

Position Purpose: Serving as a direct customer contact, represents the company values and image of quality, performance and reliability to everyone. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by performing Scheduling/Dispatching and Customer Service. This role is responsible for talking with customers, qualifying their needs, tasks and issues with regard to their Heating and Air Conditioning systems and accurately communicating those needs to others in the company. Engaging with customers to schedule work, resolve issues, and coordinates field technicians. The role requires teamwork, multi-tasking, a proactive approach, being highly organized with strong communication skills, a positive “can do” attitude, self-motivation and thoughtfulness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Customer Service

  • Quickly learn our company, products, processes and services so many questions can be answered without consulting others 1. Responding to customer requests, resolving issues, and promoting AccuRite Services
  • Talking with customers 1.Communicate clearly and specifically in a friendly manner, take and deliver messages as appropriate, establish customer rapport 2.Respond to customer inquiries, provide status updates, and address any concerns related to service appointments

Scheduling appointments and dispatching

  • Becomes familiar with Service Titan as our data base and service management system
  • Be a bridge between the technicians needs and inside communications
  • Schedules service calls and notifies technicians of work order assignments using Service Titan.
  • Receives check-in calls from technicians and helps to balance current status with planned schedules
  • Proactively monitor and follow up on dispatch and schedule screens
  • Relay accurate information to technicians, ensuring proficient, quality customer experiences
  • Monitor the whereabouts and coordinate the needs of field technicians
  • Update customers throughout the day as needed on the job progress when needed
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and adjust schedules as needed
  • Maintains customer repair and service records using the Service Titan database

Other tasks as required

  • Confirm previous day schedule of activities and actions needed
  • Follow up on customer estimates, when approved, post relevant information into Service Titan
  • Assist in monitoring parts ordering and receipt for scheduling of jobs
  • Complete administrative details to maintain and update customer account data
  • Willingness to learn and grow in your career
